Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the US.
Native American inhabitants called it the "Dancing Ground of the Sun." The Spanish called it "La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis" which translates as "The Royal Town of the Holy Faith of St. Francis. de Asis." Today, it is known as the City Different. 400 year old neighborhoods of adobe homes and churches made of earth, clay, water, and straw stand testament to centuries of resiliency thanks to deep cultural and spiritual roots mixed with a timeless commitment to family, community, and nature, and to maintaining the circle of life through the art and science of right relation.. |
