Indigenous Connectivity Summit
Nov. 6–9, 2017, at Hotel Santa Fe, in Santa Fe, NM. the Internet Society co-organized and co-hosted this week-long event with CommUNITY Learning Network Over 180 registrants attended the free (live-streamed) program, from the far reaches of Arctic Canada, Alaska, the U.S. Southwest, Oaxaca and Argentina, plus Africa and beyond, gathering to shed light on digital divides and to explore issues and themes around community networking and sustainability, over four days of workshops, panels, presentations, storytelling and open discussions.
The Indigenous Connectivity Summit was an initiative of the Internet Society (ISOC), Community Learning Network, the Internet Society New Mexico Chapter, 1st-Mile Institute, and the First Mile Connectivity Consortium.
